Exams

Our general exam includes testing:
- Visual Acuity
- Ocular Motility and Alignment
- Refraction
- Intraocular Pressure and Peripheral Vision
- Internal and External Health of the Eye

We also place an emphasis on testing for vision related learning problems when one is suspected. In this examination called a binocular exam we test:
- Eye Tracking
- Eye Focusing
- Eye Teaming Skills
- Visual Perception Skills
- Visual Motor Skills
In addition to general and binocular examinations we also participate in the InfantSee program which is a free screening for infants 6 months to 1 year of age, the See To Learn program which is a free screening for 3 year olds, as well as the management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. Our offices provide eye care for the entire family from grandparents to grandchildren.
Regular optometrist visits are necessary for good vision and eye health. Dr. Carl Hillard, optometrist says it best, "The visual system can process more information per unit time than any other sense." So while you are reading this do a short experiment. Look up and gaze around the room, now close your eyes. Where can you get that much information in such a short amount of time? Vision…it is priceless.
